I dying for fios. I see the trucks everywhere but everytime I call Verizon they say no fios in my neighborhood/area. I see billboards in my neighborhood advertising it!! I so want it heard it’s super duper faster than regular DSL. Please Verizon hurry up!!!

I was in a Charles Village community meeting with Councilperson Mary Pat Clark a few weeks ago and she assured the entire group that the city fully supports FIOS in the city. Verizon customer service has, reportedly, been claiming that it’s the city government that is preventing FIOS from getting into the city. This is false according to Ms. Clark; the Baltimore City Council wants FIOS for the citizens.

I feel your pain, we moved from FIOS covered area to a AT&T (with no fiber) area and we are missing the FIOS bad !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I want my Fios back, we use the computer for everything and are willing to pay 100.00 a month just for internet if it is wicked fast 50/20 would be great !!!!

I have worked in the telecommuncations industry for ten years and somewhere along the line I heard that Verizon was unable to strike a viable deal with the city for permits and beleive it or not space on the polls and sewers to install the fiber. I heard that the city wants to charge Verizon 20 for every foot of fiber they install. Thats on top of the cost and construction has priced it right out of this world. This is the same cause that kept cable from tv especially Comcast who was bigger but TCI was able to make a mysterious deal after years.
