It’s been a while since I’ve given an update on how well Chantix has been working for me so here I go.
It’s been over a month and a half since I’ve been on the Chantix and I’ve still no urges to smoke. I had actually skipped a pill on accident and was worried but had no side affects. I just past that pill up and continued with my regiment. Other than making sure to eat before taking the pill, I’ve been doing fantastic. If I haven’t mentioned this before, one thing that has also helped was that one of my friends bet me $100 not to smoke. It’s not a terribly large sum of money and I would pay if I did smoke but the thought of having that over my head really changes things if there are any slight urges.

Congrats on your stopping the smoking. I just started the patches through a program offered here in Maryland called Free & Clear. 1-800- QUIT NOW (800-784-8669 )
They send patches or gum to the person for free who wishes to give up smoking. You end up having to buy the last few weeks of patches yourself but worth it considering you are saving 50.00 bucks a week for 4 weeks with the patches sent to you for free.
So far so good. 4 days and counting.
I wish I could have afforded the Chantrix I am glad to hear it is really working. I do wonder how long do you need to stay on it?
at what 125.00 a prescription (I am guessing that is a month) that can add up so what happens do you wean off? just stop taking? or what
