I quit taking Chantix a couple days ago and so far every thing is fine. I don’t feel stressed, I don’t feel suicidal, and I don’t have any desire to smoke. I’m positive that if you truly want to quit but just need the help getting over that hump than Chantix will do it.
If you don’t want to quit, don’t fool yourself, just keep smoking, someone’s got to provide tax dollars for the things that the state needs funding for.
As for everyone talking about the suicidal issues with the drug: There’s been over 4 million suggested users who’ve taken Chantix and about 400+ are having suicidal tendencies or have committed suicide. That’s also probably roughly the exact same number that do heavier drugs, drink like fish, and were already suicidal.
I hope Pfizer shits on every single court case that’s brought up by money grubbers and the lawyers that support them. They develop a drug that helps to prevent people from further destroying their bodies and they try to take advantage of them. Granted Pfizer’s out to make money but what would have happened if Pfizer hadn’t supported the research and the time it took to get this drug ready, we’d all still be sitting around puffing away or sucking down nicotine patches coughing up life.

For some people, death is the only substitute for smoking.

Its either you die quickly, or die slowly. Seeing as i have had a terrible history with Suicide attempts, and depression. I honestly feel more liberated now that i have quit. I’m happier than i have ever been before, because im not weighed down by the addiction.

Hi, I was just wondering if you had any weird or vivid dreams while taking Chantix? I tried it for like 2 weeks and had really wild dreams, I agree it works well, but I guess I just wasn,t really ready to quit. When you get a chance please e-mail me back and let me know if it affected your dreaming at all.
Thanks,
LynDee
