Just an FYI for all those that are searching and reading. I’ve been smoke free for over 7 months now with Chantix. I took it for a total of 2 1/2 months and stopped. I stopped because I was forgetting to take the pill and didn’t have any cravings. I’m also not much of a breakfast person so needing to eat before taking the pill was getting annoying. I’ve had over 10 of my coworkers quit taking it and they’re all very happy people now. I’ve seen no issues with suicides or suicidal tendencies nor have I seen any issues with respiratory problems. What ever the hype, you can either deal with these problems or die from emphysema, lung cancer, broke ass no money cancer, or what ever else comes its way with cigarettes.

Carol,
My brother had the same problem because he doesn’t have health insurance. I asked him to contact Pfizer and see what they could do. He called them up at 1-866-706-2400 and they gave him a discount card that he could use for the prescription. You can also check out their website http://www.pfizerhelpfulanswers.com/pages/misc/Default.aspx. You will need a prescription from the doctor though which I guess you could do with a visit. I know there was some nurse practitioners in some store chains like walmart which can write prescriptions. If you consider the costs of continued smoking and how much it will cost for one appointment to get started, it’s WELL worth it. Good luck to you Carol!
