We felt it in Baltimore City. My bed started shaking out of the blue. We also thought maybe it was the washing machine. But the flowers were shaking. It was pretty frightening.
I just felt it too…was on my way to the bathroom and nearly peed myself as I grabbed my son and ran outside….it shook the whole warehouse I live in…everyone ran outside
I had felt it up around my area of the Baltimore City ; I thought it was the CSX train but that never happened. After it happened everyone had came out and said they had felt it and now our phone service isn’t working and neither is our Cell Phone service either ; Does anyone else have this problem?
At 1352 local time felt a medium size earthquake (5.0?) in Parkton, MD. Lasted about 1 minute. Was also felt in Westminster. I have a two story house with a walk out basement, so really 3 stories in the back, and the second floor was slightly swaying with everything in the hous rattling. It was almost to the point where I thought things might fall off a shelf but nothing did.
Finally the news is reporting it….thought my house was about to collapse and thought I was losing my mind…by the way I’m in Windsor Mill Maryland. SCARY :-[
I felt it in my apartment in Owings Mills! My cat was like what the heck is going on and I was home alone so I was freaking out, never felt anything like that before!
Phones aren’t working. Looks like the quake hit DC the hardest? Anyone heard anything? It didn’t hit us too bad, but it sounds like it was worse for others. @Eileen Alban- sorry about your plates! Nothing like that happened here, it just felt wobbly. My baby sister woke up from a nap, and we thought she would freak out, but she just had to go potty!
Wow haven’t felt one like that since the 90′s. Everything shook for 2 mins. I knew what is was but I wasn’t willing to believe it. Scared my kids & my dogs.
About 10 minutes ago, I felt the shaking of a 3 floor-row house for about 2 minutes in Baltimore country, Rosedale! My clock located at upper side was fell down due to the motion.
I was wondering if it was just me.my cellphone service doesn’t work either. I have tmobile. I was really getting worried because I wanted to call my mom. Didn’t seem strong enough to knock down cell towers. Wonder when they will return service.
Cell phones are clogged with traffic…the service is not down. Do not listen to the news…It goes with common sense if everyone is trying to use their phones it will back up traffic. I am in the cellular business
